Squish has let me know that Kylie Hunter is going to
do some work as part of the support team in Whittlesea. Please be praying
for her.
Our thoughts at the moment are going out to those who have been affected by the devastating fires.
We feel it important to share some of the news that has impacted our OAC family, so that as part of greater God's family, we can help uphold people in prayer.
Many of you will know, or know of Steve Stokes and his family. Steve has been involved with OAC many years and is currently on Staff with our SA branch. His family also have a strong active involvement with OAC in Victoria. Steve’s Dad, David Stokes has been a member of the OAC committee and has been serving with OAC for at least 40 years. The Stokes have lost most of their property. David was caught in the fires and is now with the Lord.
Many of you have been to the Stokes Campsite in Upper Plenty, run by Howard, David’s brother. The campsite is across the hill from David’s farm. We can be thankful to God that the campsite is still ok.
Please pray for David’s family, especially his wife Jenice. Steve as he travels from SA, Matt & Fi, Anthony and Leanne, Julie and Andrew. The other Stokes clan; Howard, Wendy, Pete, Rob and Tim are exhausted from fighting the fires.
Tim and Kelly Brown were able to get some things before having to leave MMM (They were staying at the Mobile Mission Maintenance base, while their house is being built). They are safe, but most of MMM is gone.
The Elms Family (Laura and Phil were on mission with us this summer) were very close to the fires. We are thankful that they and their property are ok.
We have lots of great volunteers in Bendigo, where there have also been fires. The people we have been in contact with are OK.
If you have any prayer points or ways we can support each other, please let us know. We will try to put updates here or the facebook group.
Remember in this hard time that our strength is in the Lord.

Super Training Day 5th May
On the 17th of June there will be a training day happening! This event is a special event, because it is specific in getting people trained up for ministry. So, anyone is welcome to come along, get some training, but also bring your diaries, because there will be opportunity for you to get involved in some of the ministry that happens through OAC.

Tom and Ellie are going to Japan 21st November
Long time volunteers (and past intern!) Tom and Ellen are going over to Japan for a bit of a mission trip! Tom will be doing some stuff with a school over there, and Ellie will be working with some churches. Ellie can speak Japanese, but Tom can't, so pray for him! Actually, pray for them both! They will be missed on mission here, but will be doing some quite different mission stuff over there! I'll post their prayer points in the forum for you guys to read!
